I’m ready for the next steps. I’m ready for challenges (in a healthy, positive growing sort of way). I like continually moving myself out of my comfort zone – stretching myself in all areas.
Mental
I have a regular performance review coming up with my boss later on and I’m hoping we might take a peek at upcoming opportunities. I’m hoping something is in the wind that will be more stimulating and challenging. More responsibility – I crave that like you cannot imagine. I am a Capricorn – I am born to take on responsibility. I want to move up the food chain in project management terms. Currently I am a senior project officer so in a high level support role. I want to move into management. I want to supervise staff again (its been years since I did that) and manage a project – even a small one would be good. But with all the autonomy and authority that goes with it. Numerous times I’ve found myself managing projects with no authority to use resources or make high level decisions.
Physical
I took on the Boot Camp a few months ago to challenge myself physically. I still walk daily and do a yoga class once a week but I haven’t increased my exercise levels since boot camp ended. I need to do start doing something soon though because I was invited on the weekend to go with some friends on a trek in Nepal next year. They sponsor nuns in a Buddhist monastery on the border of Tibet and have been invited to visit. They asked if I was interested in joining them and I jumped at the chance. I long to get back to the Himalayas. But it will be a pretty heavy going trek to get to the monastery – off the beaten track in the Everest region. I can see some jogging being added to the daily regime. Shame summer is coming up now – it will be very hot for running.
Emotional
I’m ready for the full-on, commmitted relationship too. I can’t keep putting it off, sabotaging it, avoiding it. I manage to do that very well. So far. Well hey, that is another challenge I need to help me grow. I have a lot of love to give and I intend to give it as much as possible in a generic sense. But I do want that one special person to share it with too.
Spiritual
Spiritually I have found my niche with the groups I’m involved with and the Ageless Wisdom teachings. There is a strong element of Buddhism in there too. The Ageless Wisdom teachings are supposedly from the esoteric Buddhist tradition – translated for westerners to grasp. I know I’ve spent many lives as a Buddhist in Tibet and other parts of the Himalayas. That is my spiritual home. The study and meditation are going well but perhaps I need to take on more of a role in disseminating the information – possibly through direct teaching but also through multimedia.
This is a very good news. A very good luck to you.
Good luck! It sounds like you’ve a very clear idea of what you want to accomplish.
